No More Hammock in the Tub!

Well, folks, Patrick has officially grown out of the hammock for his tub and tonight he had his first bath without it. I wasn't sure if he'd like the water, but we were both pleasantly surprised. Once he got over the initial shock of the warm water, he actually started to enjoy it. He even splashed his feet a little!

Finally Sitting Up in His Bumbo

I tried a week ago to see if Patrick could sit up in his Bumbo but he wasn't quite ready yet. He'd fall over to one side and he couldn't hold his head up completely like he needed to. However, today I tried it and it's amazing how strong he's gotten in just one week's time! For those of you who aren't familiar with a Bumbo, it is a foamy little seat that helps babies learn to sit up. As soon as they are able to hold their head up on their own, you can sit them in it. It's nice to have somewhere to put him during dinner, if I'm washing bottles or just doing other chores around the house. We learned early on that he doesn't like to lie down where he can't see you. Most of the time if you're holding him in your lap, he likes to sit up and look around, so this is perfect!

It's Patrick's Holiday!!

Yes, I know, one day, when Patrick is older, he is going to kill me for taking these pictures, but how could I not?! After all today is his holiday! We were blessed with some great weather in the last couple of weeks so I got a chance to snap a few pictures. Ok, more than a few... enough to fill a 2GB memory card. Don't judge me.

Mommy's A Comedian

I was trying to make him laugh the best I could. This first video was one I made after I heard him do his little chuckle louder after I laughed at something he did. Of course, after I picked up the camera, he just stared into the red light on the front. However, I made myself into an idiot and just laughed and laughed and got some noises out of him at least. The best part is when I was reviewing this video to send it to Aaron, Patrick started cooing and "laughing" louder right now! So, I recorded him with the first video as a soundtrack. You can tell he really wants to let out a huge laugh, but he's just not able to yet.

Go Pens!

Those family members in Pittsburgh will especially appreciate this post. I ordered this outfit before Patrick was even born and couldn't WAIT to get him in it. Then, time went by, Patrick arrived, Aaron went back to Iraq and Mommy forgot she had the outfit. Finally, one day, as I was cleaning out clothes he'd outgrown, I found it! And I just had to put him in it and take some pictures before he was way too big for it. It actually fit him perfectly, so I was almost too late. I hate I didn't find it sooner so he could get more use out of it. Lucky for me I got it on clearance for $6! And I can save it for our next one. Or two or three. Too bad we couldn't have gone to a Pens game and have him wear this...

There's Nothing Like a Sleeping Baby

This is a video that features all of the cute things Patrick does in his sleep, complete with little moans, waking up and then immediately falling back to sleep and, best of all, smiles!

Mister Patrick is Two Months Old!

I pulled out Patrick's fold-up gym today to let him play with it. You can tell he's trying to reach up and swat the toys but it seems like he's getting his legs confused with his arms because he was kicking like crazy!
